JLPT at Leicester

The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test JULY exam call will take place at the University of Leicester on Sunday 5 July 2026 in the morning.

You can register to take the JLPT test at 5 different levels. Choose your level below from N5 to N1.

Registrations for the JLPT July 2025 will open from Monday 2 March 2026 at 12.00 pm as described below.

• N1 - registrations open on Monday 2 March at 12.00 pm
• N2 - registrations open on Tuesday 3 March at 12.00 pm
• N3 - registrations open on Wednesday 4 March at 12.00 pm
• N4 - registrations open on Thursday 5 March at 12.00 pm
• N5 - registrations open on Friday 6 March at 12.00 pm

If an N level is not showing, it is because it is not available yet (please check the opening day and time above). 

Please note that there are limited places and you should only enrol on the N level you intend to take. When a level is fully booked, you can enter your contact details on a waiting list. If and when further places become available, we will contact enlisted participants. If you don't hear from us by the 1 of September, this means that no further places will be made available. 

IMPORTANT: The JLPT at Leicester's registration process requires completing two steps (registrations that don't fulfil both steps will not be accepted).

Step 1: Payment of the JLPT exam fee.
Step 2: Complete and submit the JLPT questionnaire.
