Certificates and Transcripts

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

·       We are currently receiving a high volume of shop orders, and dispatch can take up to 4 weeks.  Please take this into consideration before placing your order.

·       Royal Mail can experience delays with international deliveries.  DHL postage can be purchased if you are overseas, or if you require quicker delivery.

·       Documents sent using Royal Mail need to be signed for on receipt. As such, we recommend that you don't provide a PO Box address, EXCEPT if you are in Africa or the Middle East where PO Boxes are routinely staffed. For example, Royal Mail delivery in the UAE is made to PO Boxes only.

£5.00 per copy plus delivery charges

Certified copies are copies of existing official documents produced by the University of Leicester, which are stamped and signed to confirm the validity of the document. We can certify/verify the following documents: 

·         Academic transcript

·         Degree certificate

Certified copies are not the same as original documents.

Please do not order certified copies unless you are already in receipt of your original awarding documents.  You will be required to provide a clear scan of the original document for certification. Please email the documents to be certified/verified to [email protected].

Please note:

When purchasing multiple certified copies, please order one copy with your required postage option, and then order any extra copies using the 'Additional Copies' option, to avoid paying excessive postage.

Please do not order additional copies on their own - you must pick a postage option with your first copy.

Items ordered for collection will be available from campus at the Information Hub. You will receive an email notification when your document is ready to collect. Please bring identification and note that only you will be able to collect your own documents.

Free plus delivery charges

End of year transcripts are only available for current undergraduate students.  These transcripts can be provided for previous years of study, providing it has been successfully completed.

Please note: 

·       If you were a Study Abroad student pre 2011/12, please order a Study Abroad Transcript

·       If you have been awarded, please order a Full Academic Transcript

£20 per transcript plus delivery charges

Graduates will receive a free full academic transcript when they graduate.  Additional or replacement full academic transcripts can be purchased by graduates of undergraduate and taught postgraduate courses of the University of Leicester.

Transcripts are not available for some courses; more details can be found here.

Former students who completed their studies more than 10 years ago should contact the Information Hub at [email protected] with the following information before placing an order:

·       Full Name (at time of study)

·       Date of Birth

·       Student Number (if known)

·       Course

·       Year of Graduation/Award

If we no longer hold the relevant information, a letter can be issued confirming your award and the unavailability of a transcript.

·         If you require a certified copy of your transcript, please refer to Certified Copies of Awarding Documents 

• If you were a Study Abroad student pre 2011/12, please order a Study Abroad Transcript
• If you are a current undergraduate student and need a record of your completed years of study, please order an End of Year Transcript.

·       Nene College: full academic transcripts for courses completed at Nene College are provided by University of Northampton

·       Newman College:  full academic transcripts for courses completed at Newman College are provided by Newman University

·       Bishop Grosseteste: full academic transcripts for courses completed at Bishop Grosseteste are provided by Bishop Grosseteste

£45 plus delivery charges

Graduates will receive their degree certificate when they graduate.  Replacement certificates can be purchased for graduates of the following institutions:

·       University of Leicester

·       Bishop Grosseteste College (now Bishop Grosseteste University)

·       Pen Green Research Centre

·       Newman College (now Newman University): for awards made up to and including 2009, please place an order. For awards made after 2009, please contact Newman University directly.

Please note:

·       Nene College: certificates for courses completed at Nene College are provided by University of Northampton

Graduates are only permitted to have one certificate in circulation at any one time. A replacement certificate will only be issued where an explanation is given as to how the original was lost.

Transcripts for Study Abroad students pre 2011/12

Study Abroad students whose programme was post 2011/12 should instead purchase an End of Year Transcript

If you would like multiple transcripts posted to different addresses you must place separate orders.
