DescriptionThe British Association for Chinese Studies is a non-political organization which aims to encourage and promote Chinese studies in the United Kingdom. As the only comprehensive subject association for Chinese Studies in the UK, we represent the field of Chinese Studies in its entirety. The BACS Conference is held in September each year and is the UK’s foremost academic gathering in the field. This year, the University of Leicester is the host of the conference, Taking place on 3-5 September, the Conference welcomes international and UK-based scholars and PGRs, including BACS members and non-members. BACS members are eligible for a discounted registration fee. The BACS Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in conjunction with the annual conference.
