Quantitative Methods in Applied Health ResearchInfo Location Course Information![]() Quantitative Methods in Applied Health ResearchQuantitative Methods in Applied Health Research is a 5 day course for health and social care researchers. In this course you will be given an introduction to and consider the advantages and disadvantages of a range of quantitative methodologies (including clinical trials, observational designs, using real world evidence, health economics and systematic review and meta-analysis). We will explore statistical methods using the statistical software Stata, including descriptive, univariate and adjusted analyses. You will learn how to identify the appropriate statistical method to be used given a specific research question and how to interpret numerical evidence from research in a clear and appropriate scientific format. The course is being held at the University of Leicester. It is taught over the following dates (9:00am – 4:00pm) Monday 2 November, Tuesday 3 November 2026 Monday 16 November, Tuesday 17 November 2026 Tuesday 1 December 2026
