Course Description

This one day course, to be held on 25 October, aims to have delegates feel more comfortable with their ArcGIS skills and know how to apply a question-based approach to the tool. By the end of the course they will have refreshed their skills and should feel confident to use the tool again in the future. They will work through a case study which allows them to work through a dataset and gain the skills to use ArcGIS. The case study will focus on the proposed development of land and the request of the developers of the archaeologists to determine whether the plot of land is clear for building (e.g. are there any archaeological reasons why the development should not go ahead). Attendees are expected to have some basic computer literacy but are not expected to be experts in ArcGIS. They will need to come prepared to go through a series of practical exercises with guidance.
