A one day CPD course one Roman pottery to be held on the 15 June 2017.
Combining practical sessions with the University's teaching collection our course leaders will use recent case studies from urban excavation projects in Leicester to demonstrate how pottery fits into the narrative of the site and how the post-excavation process can enrich the site narrative. professionals who have an interest in Roman pottery. This one day course assumes no prior knowledge of Roman pottery and is aimed at people wishing to develop a specialism or to better understand the potential of this material.
This exciting two day course on the 27th & 28th September 2017, is intended to introduce archaeologists to the various issues surrounding historic building survey. With contributions from senior investigators at Historic England, independent scholars, and led by Dr Adam Menuge from the University of Cambridge, and Dr Lucy Jessop from Historic England, the course will cover types of building from the medieval through to the twentieth century.
