Our tutor will demonstrate the wreath-making method and help you to make your own Christmas wreath to take home with you. Materials and light refreshments are included in the price. Booking essential.

This part-time course is for everyone keen to develop or improve their plant identification skills. We aim to increase your appreciation, enjoyment and understanding of the diversity of the British flora.
By combining lectures and laboratory classes at the Botanic Garden, we start by teaching you how to identify the main plant groups and important families (module 1, October-December). Then we introduce you to the methods and practice of species identification by means of field trips (module 2, April-June).
Module 1: every Tuesday, 6.30 - 9.30pm, 3 October to 12 December 2017
Module 2: 6 Sunday field trips, 10am - 4pm, April - June 2018, dates to be advised
Willow weaving workshops
Using willow and other plant materials, learn how to make simple or more advanced baskets.
Suitable for beginners, returners and improvers.

Saturday 16 September - make a round fruit / bread basket
Saturday 14 October - make a frame basket, with or without a handle (Fully booked)
Saturday 18 November - make a variety of Christmas themed decorations (no wreaths) using a range of basketry techniques and materials, including willow.
