Explore Leicestershire: Bradgate Park




Join us whilst we explore the historic landscape that is Bradgate Park on Sunday 7th May.


Detailed Description

Bradgate Park is located 6 miles north of Leicester’s city centre and can be seen from many vantage points across town. It was first used as a deer park around 800 years ago and the old ruins that housed Lady Jane Grey (who was Queen of England for just 9 days whilst married to Henry VIII.

As well as these two lovely attractions, just over the road you can find Swithland woods which houses a now disused quarry.


We will be providing coach travel to and from the Park as well a packed lunch for all the students and if you have any dietary requirements we request that you book your ticket as soon as possible so we can liaise with the catering team appropriately.


The coach meeting points and times can be found below:


Sunday 7th May


John Foster Reception 11:00am

Mary Gee Houses 11:15am

University Road (Outside the SU), 11:30am


The coach will collect all residents from Bradgate at 3:30pm and residents will be dropped off in reverse order.
