LUFT Course - Certificate in Financial Mathematics

LUFT Course - Certificate in Financial Mathematics

LUFT is offering tuition for the Certificate in Financial Mathematics at £400 per person. Tuition is to start in May 2017 and October 2017. This will provide tuition for the Faculty and Institute of Actuaries CT1 exam. The tuition is via supported distance learning and uses innovative methods and technology already used extensively within the University's accredited MSc in Actuarial Science. Many of our students undertake LUFT as a means of gaining entry to our MSc/PgDip in Actuarial Science, for which the Certificate covers CT1. If you plan to take the Certificate with this in mind, please be aware that whilst it only takes around six months to complete the course, the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries can take up to three months to mark and return the exam, so you will have to apply for the intake twelve months after starting LUFT.

The fixed price includes:

A specially prepared text book covering all material with worked examples
Access to the University's virtual learning environment
Electronic forums and podcasts used to support your learning
State of the art visualisations of key concepts and ideas
Email access to a tutor who will respond to your questions within 48 hours
Regular assignments with full marking and feedback
A mock examination with full marking and feedback
Access to the University's extensive digital library

For those of you thinking of using this as a first step in your studies of Actuarial Science, successful candidates will gain an exemption from one module of the University of Leicester's fully accredited MSc in Actuarial Science.
